Students of ATU-Net member institutions are welcome to apply for the semester and research exchange programme. Application for research exchange is generally open throughout the year. However, for fall semester exchange programme (beginning in September), the following timeline applies:
December 2018 – February 2019: Students to apply for approval for exchange at their home institutions
1 March 2019: Deadline for students’ application to be submitted to ATU-Net Secretariat
15 March 2019: Announcement on result of students’ application 

15 April 2019: Deadline of students’ application to host institution

  • The Culture and Nature Immersion Summer Camp offers a practical approach that allows participants to actively engage throughout the programme while benefitting academically and culturally through their immersion in nature as well as rich local culture and Malaysian culture at large.

Research Exchange @ Sea Turtle Research Unit
(SEATRU)

  • Sea turtle research at UMT has since developed into a multi-disciplinary program aimed at studying all aspect of the biology and ecology of sea turtles, threats, threats to their survival, and how they can be managed in order to restore the various species to a stable population level. 
  • The vital information resulting from these studies have formed the basis for many important recommendation made by SEATRU to relevant government agencies for the conservation of sea turtles, especially within the state of Terengganu.
  • Student Internship Program: March to September every year.
    Internship period can be from 4 weeks and above

  • The Student Exchange Programme / Industrial Training are designed to create opportunities for incoming students as well as UMP students to experience the learning process at other institutes of higher learning.
  • The exposure to a different learning environment will broaden and enrich the students’ learning experience as well as to increase the students’ networking with students from other universities.
  • This program involves credit transfer that normally done with UMP partner universities.
  • This is to ensure cooperation in registering subject, transferring credit, admission procedure, immigration documentation and financial matters has achieved mutual agreement between both parties. 
  • The student needs to stay at the host university for one (1) or two (2) semesters.

  • Global Academic Summer Programme (GASP) is a two-week summer program where participants can earn two credits applicable at their home universities. Participants will have to attend two academic courses in the morning and one non-academic course in the afternoon.
 
  • Apart from classroom activities, participants will also learn more about Malaysia’s past and present, as well as experience Malaysian culture first-hand through visiting Malaysian cultural heritage sites.

U.S.-Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Energy (USPCAS-E) Academic Exchange Program

  • USPCAS-E at National University of Sciences and Technology offers an Academic Exchange Program under which 100 faculty and students will be visiting U.S. partners, Arizona State University and Oregon State University, in upcoming 4 years for a period of 16 weeks for students and 6 weeks for faculty.

 

  • This exchange visitor program will help to a build world-class research Centre in Energy at NUST to train the graduates, enable faculty to gain valuable experience in applied research, and train leaders in the energy sector to make sound economic and social decisions in Pakistan. The candidates participating in this academic exchange program will be from USPCAS-E and other relevant schools of NUST.

 

Objective

  • The objective of this program is to provide training and research methodology for the faculty and students from USPCAS-E at NUST. During this period, the ASU and OSU teams will develop a learning plan based on the participants’ energy specialization and research interests. Common experiences offered to all exchanges will include:
